I am on vacation this week - spring break. However, I went into work on Monday and today, for a total of 10 hours. And I am glad I did because I got so much done in 2 days since there were minimal interruptions. During part of my vacation, I have spent it doing 2 things: 1) catching up with my family and friends and 2) making art. Here are my latest postcards. It's funny because I read Kelly's blog yesterday and saw her postcards and info about her latest mail art class and thought how much I would love to take that class! I started these beauties on Monday night and it has taken me several hours to finally get them completed. I have the next 2 days off. The plan for Thursday is to spend the day with 3 of my closest friends. Then, on Friday, Good Friday, my sister, Rachel and niece, Francesca, and I will be heading to tea @ 'The Tea Rose', in Pasadena. For the last 3 years, on Good Friday, the 3 of us have a tradition of going to tea. It will be our first time @ 'The Tea Rose'.

We need to teach you the definition of Vacation ;) (Teasing!!)

I Love love love love love your postcards...love the peace piece that you did, too.

I have been in a haze this week and I think world events are a big cause. I spent Fri & Sat listening to the Winter Soldier Testimonies and if that didn't make you think, I don't know what would.

I love your blog. I get so frazzled and pissed when people say that "Their" blogs will never be about politics or what I think of as "real life" and you are not afraid to speak out and speak about what is on your mind! Love ya for it!

Interesting the quote about Too much religion and 9/11...My two cents is that it was our government's policies that caused it...and what the US is doing to the Middle East. Ouch. How's that for opening a can of worms...

Keep posting your art, your thoughts! I LOVE your posts!

Oh, and let us know how the Tea Room is. I have been wanting to check that place out for ages!

Hugs,
Kelly

I agree that it was our policies that caused 9/11. I would never want to imply that religion caused such a devastating event. I am going to add one more blog to clarify how that piece came together. By the way, one of those postcards is on its way to you, Ms. Kelly! But I will keep you in suspense as to which one. You will just have to wait patiently for the mail to be delivered. Thanks for all the plugs! You are a WONDERFUL friend, girlfriend! And you're a kick-ass artist and teacher!
