A shot of the new journal I am currently working in. The top photo is a shot of the cover. Kelly gave me this journal a few years ago. I have been waiting to do something special with it. You can check out Kelly's blog and her "A Prompt a Day" right here: http://www.kellykilmer.blogspot.com/. Talk about inspiration! Kelly's art is fantastic!

These are the first 5 pages from my latest book. I get the feeling that this journal will have a theme to it just like my India book.

I think I am going to do something along the lines of a graphic novel - maybe anime. I am hoping to take an art class this summer, @ Pasadena City College (PCC), called "Creating Graphic Novels or Comics". Maybe this new book will be a start of something bigger and different with my art ...

I'm off to the Huntington Museum right now! Have a great Fourth of July weekend! Let us not ever forget why we celebrate this most important day.

These are beautiful! I love the rich colors. There is a feeling that there are many mysteries contained in the layers.

Thanks, Kelly for the compliment and plug! Girlfriend, I gave you a plug too, but you DEFINITELY don't need 1! Your work speaks for itself!

Lou Ann, thank you for the kind words. Congratulations on your new blog! I feel like I am "traveling" with you on those many wonderful trips. I hope that 1 day, I may join you and Juliana on a great adventure. In the meantime, you are giving me an eyeful!

Seth, thanks for the compliment. I tend to work fast; it comes in spurts, then my job takes over my life, and no art seems to get done for months. I have finished the
1st 17 pages in my new book. completed 6 pages. Tomorrow, reality will sink in when I am back @ work, running my school's summer school program.
